Volleyball Scholarships

Earning a volleyball scholarship is much easier said than done. With an overwhelming amount of high school volleyball players, it is nearly impossible for college coaches to find every good volleyball player in the country. That being said, it is all about being proactive and taking charge of your recruiting process if you really want an athletic scholarship. Basic Academic Guidelines to be Eligible

High school student athletes need to earn a 3.0 GPA, 24 ACT, and at least 1000 out of 1600 on the SAT in order to become eligible to compete at the collegiate level.

College Volleyball Recruiting Process

The volleyball recruiting process can start as early as middle school. College coaches love to see a steady progression of skill sets and fundamentals. Being proactive and getting in contact with coaches early on in high school will greater your chances of having more opportunities to play at the collegiate level. Having a good quality video displaying your skills and highlighting your best matches can certainly grab the interest of a college coach. Also, being in the right place at the right time, while having a great game can separate you from the rest of the pack. Playing in competitive tournaments and doing well, will put you on a college coaches radar quickly.
